The cinematic universes aren't collapsing any time soon. I think we all kinda thought maybe one of Marvel's Phase 2 films might fumble enough to bring it all down, but even when these movies are considered "bad" (Man of Steel, Thor 2) they're making money.

Minimum five more years of superhero films. Minimum.

So if we are going to see alternate timelines and such, would anyone want to see a timeline where the Flash has been around for 25 years and this version of Barry Allen is played by John Wesley Shipp? Just a random thought......

Before we saw Jay Garrick's helmet in the finale I was hoping we might see a T.V. Flash version of "Flash of Two Worlds" with John Wesley Shipp reprising the role of the BarryAllen/ the Flash from the prior television series. I'd still love to see that happen, but we might see a more true to comic version of "Flash of Two Worlds" now that Jay Garrick showing up is highly probable.

It's not like he has no directorial experience at all, nor is he completely ignorant to the film industry, as he's written/writing screen plays. He's just never directed a feature-length film. Neil Blomkamp hadn't before District 9, that seemed to work out okay.

Well, there is a difference between not liking the style and tone and something that's bad.
Taste vs. Quality.
Ie: lots of Oscar movies every year I see are good but just not my taste at all and I ultimately don't like them. But it's not like they're bad. Just not my taste.

Well...anyone see the season finale? It was pretty good I thought, actually more satisfying than season 1's finale



For anyone I know that enjoyes this show, I am going to heavily recommend them watching the animated film Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox (especially since it is on Netflix). I know the TV show S3 cannot include most of the DC Universe characters that the comic contained, but it no doubt will probably follow the events closely

Oh my god, where do I start? This Flash finale was just balls to the wall in awesomesauce!!! First off, the fight at the beginning was down right incredible, well shot, and well choreographed. Probably the best fight in the entire show. Next up, the "Flash of Two Worlds" comment Zoom made was great. As for the identity of the man in the iron mask, CALLED IT!!!!!! And hot damn did he look awesome in that get up. I can't wait to see him come back next season becasue we all know he will. The race, as it were, with Zoom was also fantastic. I got a little CoIE vibe from it. And then that end, holy crap, that end. I think Barry just single handily created the DC Cinemative Universe.

Seriously though, I'm curious if Geoff Johns is finally going to actually be able to tell the Flashpoint story he originally intended to tell before Didiot made him turn it into a universe changing event.

There was a recent episode of Big Bang Theory where a man repeatedly asks the stars, when they're being ridiculously dumb, "Are you sure you're smart?" I found that line repeating often in my head during the finale. Why would Barry not only agree, but agree eagerly, to do exactly what Zoom wanted when he knew the result would be catastrophic? It's almost as dumb a decision as giving the lightspeed mass murderer your only weapon, making you powerless and upping his own power in the first place, but still levels below willfully making massive changes to the timeline heedless of the possible outcomes (the only benefit being they could use this Flashpoint as a means of blending Supergirl into the CW-verse).

How could I hate it?
The "genius" team decided to just do EXACTLY what the villain wanted because...they're idiots, Barry creates a time double of himself and kills himself because...he's a dick, the man in the iron mask is revealed to be Barry's Dad-leganger because...God forbid we have stakes and consequences, (PS he looked RIDICULOUS in that getup. I buy that he's The Flash like I'd buy that I'M The Flash), and then Barry literally becomes the villain by un-killing his mom and ruining the timeline thereby not only undoing the episode just TWO short eps ago when he had a whole (lame) spiritual journey focused on coming to terms with his mom's death, but also actually undoing the entire season and its entire point. We're two SEASONS into this show and we're basically where we were after 6 episodes.
