No, Neighbors does not even look remotely funny. It also has Seth Rogen in it, which means there will be like 200 unfunny sex jokes in it.

And TASM2 was not a bad movie, it was just average. Better than Spider-Man 3, but not as good as the first two Raimi movies or even the first TASM.

Changing gears I went and saw this tonight and it's not that bad a lot better than what I thought it was going to be.

I think it speaks to the audience's perception of the quality of this film (and the word of mouth) that one week after release when the next biggest movie was an R-rated comedy that therefore half the market couldn't even get into, this movie is no longer #1.

Granted, Neighbors did WAY better than anybody had expected or hoped, but I think word of mouth pushed people away form this and towards that.

I guess I'll find out when I see it on home video, because I'm not shelling out theater money to see this.

So I went in with pretty low expectations considering everyone is just crapping all over it but walked away saying "why all the hate?" The spiderman action is great, the costume is superb (Garfield is spiderman) and Electro was better than I thought he'd be. I also particularly liked that Mr. Stacey was haunting Peters thoughts and he was a lot less douchey than he was in the first movie.

I pretty much liked everything about it except for Harry, his story was forced, odd and some lines were cringe-worthy. I loved that they had the guts to do the Gwen scene, my wife was is utter shock. This is the 3rd best Spidey movie for me, hands down and a very fun action flick.
