That's what I was driving at.....it's a prototypical Kung Fu movie, however the story surrounding it, the fact it was made for US audiences and that Bruce finally got the recognition he deserved really makes it stand out.
I'd rather them even make it a sequel rather than call it a remake.....by the way, what's Jason Scott Lee up to, he may have some work headed his way...
BTW I do love Dragon, The Bruce Lee Story, I thought JSL did him a pretty good service.

I also really wish we didn't lose Brandon. The Crow is one of my all time favorites and I really would have loved to have seen the sequels with him as The Crow.....hell isn't there even one with Edward Furlong as The Crow??? WTF???? Sting the wrestler makes a better crow than him!

If they want to remake a Bruce Lee movie, they should do the never finished Game of Death. Otherwise, leave Lee's movies the f alone!

I thought The Protector was awful. That whole steady cam sequence where he's walking up the stairs was a nice try, but terribly uninspired. All he did was roundhouse kick people.
Muay Thai fighting is a great art, but it's already run it's course in film. Knees and elbows get old after a while. And so does the ridiculous tricking you see a lot in recent Thai films.
One hit fights does not equal excitement. =/
