New report just said it is going to be in another universe set during a different time period and Batman will be played by someone else.

AKA, the DCEU is dead.

^So, they're developing like three Harley Quinn spinoffs from Suicide Squad (not to mention a Suicide Squad sequel), including a Harley and Joker movie that was announced today. They're making a Joker movie independent from the DCEU continuity, and now they're making a Batman movie that's also independent from every other continuity?

... but Ben Affleck apparently has one movie left in his contract? I imagine that means Justice League 2, and possibly dying or hanging up the cowl. So they'll continue making movies in the DCEU (the want to keep Gadot's WW and Robbie's Harley) while also making movies independent of that universe based on Batman characters?

Wait, a Joker and Harley movie too? Where did you see that news? Either way, this is ridiculous. There are other "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" characters in the DC universe beyond Batman!

At this point, they probably don't want to risk more lost sales on JL so they are trying to make it sound like this movie will be part of the EU.

If he goes there could be trouble.

But frankly, if he stays it could be double.

Either way, he's got to let us know.
