I just saw it mysefl, and browsed through the majority of the site. Navigation suxor, but besides that, the movie looks like it'll be a lot of fun. The CGI obviously isn't ILM standard, as neither was Yonggary, but it looks nice nonetheless (a little better than Walking with Dinosaurs).

My favorite character is the Imoogi, or larvae-stage dragon (though the "Dragon" looks so badass my skull erupted into little scooter pixies). Regardless, the sets look nice though it looks like they spent more money on CGI in this film instead of city-sets/miniatures, which, in Yonggary, were quite nice IMO.

And yes, that is not original music in the trailer. It was ripped direcly from something... something American, I just know it (a la the GINO music put into the Thailand Ultraman Millenium movie trailer).

The trailer definitely got my interest, the effects featured look pretty good. Although the Korean village in the being reminded my of an old set from the 80's Shaw Brothers films. I liked the shot of the dragons flying into the city followed by the helicopter. And the snake dragon on the building makes me long for the return of Manda. Of course the trailer really doesn't give you any hints about what the plot is really about. I hope it's good.

My pathetic 56k modem was snailing along with the download but mysteriously stopped before it was finished! Guess I'll try again tonight. Anyone else had any problems downloading?

Okay, I went back an checked, and yes, GForever, that IS GMMG music in that trailer! What a bunch of cheapskates!
Oh well, Korea's not exactly known for quality kaiju flicks, but once they figure their OWN soundtrack, I'm sure it'll be a pretty fun flick.

Well, actually, correct me if I'm wrong, but that music isn't on the GMMG OST. My guess is it's just generic trialer music that Toho used for their trailers (although that crescendo now always makes me thing of a big fireworks explosion).

That's generic trailer music that's been used on many Hollywood movie trailers.

I agree with Cy and Taku. The D-WAR trailer is not new; it's been online since last August (and I think even longer than that). There's no way it uses swiped music that was specifically composed for GMMG.

The music was used in the Yonggary trailer too I believe.

Movie looks badass, btw.

haha where can i find this "generic trailer music?" And has Dragon Wars been released yet?? Looks like an interesting movie. (So far, better than Youngary from the trailer) Anyone have the synopsis or the story to the movie?

Probably because the production time was longer. South Korea isn't Japan, you know . . .

As best I understand, the trailer is really just sample f/x footage used to entice investors or the original investors dropped out. Supposedly he found a new producer and shooting was to begin Fall 2003. If this movie ever sees the light of day remains to be seen.

Well I hope he manages to get the film finished. I really liked the trailer footage and one could view it as a Korean Reign Of Fire but with more monsters and dragons. Cool. Plus I liked Yongarry 2001.

has everyone already seen this clip? it's different than the one that was originally posted in this thread. this one takes place completely in the modern city, with lots of insane monster destruction. including missiles being fired from back-mounted missile packs on the four-legged beasties. i'm quite impressed!
