Interesting. I was never to crazy about Gappa, but it sounds like Devil Raigon was a pretty ambitious idea that never saw the light of day.

So Devil Reigon would've been basically a Japanese take on Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, huh?

Wow, cool finds! Reigon definitely sounds interesting, and I remember the Gappa remake/Gappa vs. Guilala rumors from the mid-'90s. The discrediting of that rumor was partly why I was so surprised when Monster X Strikes Back was made.
