Pretty cool. Became available in late June it looks like.

Enjoy.

Fo Shizzle.

Ya know, the effects really aren't bad at all in this movie. It's definitely for the kids, but I got pretty much through the whole thing, though it will probably be awhile before I watch it again (if ever).

Dagahra was very well realized and I enjoyed the effects for the pyramid rising up from the sea. Mothra Leo was mostly consistent in execution (just a little weird shakiness sometimes). The Barem were great, both up close and from what I will call the "red-tide" point of view. I even liked "Fairy" and Garu-Garu II (the cgi was much better than usual when it was called for with these two).

The kids themselves wore me out, but not the whole time. Belvera had a cool nasty attitude, but Lora and Moll were kinda dull for me.

Yeah. Some of it was trying. Gohgo, for example. I wanted to shove my thumbs through its eyes after about 45 minuets into the movie.

I haven't seen this movie in many years, nor do I ever want to see it again. From what I recall, there's a little Furby-looking creature who exhibits Jesus-type healing powers by pissing directly on people's wounds.

What a terrible movie, now here are the other two!

They're all bad, but these two are passable.

They're all garbage, but I admired the craft of Mothra Larva and Desghidorah's costumes. Daghara might be the clumsiest creature in all the Heisei movies.

So goes the suffering of a completest.

Why would you ever want to be completist? Collecting crap like the Showa Gamera series and the Mothra Trilogy seems a bit masochistic to me.

Yeah, that's it. Pure sweet torture. How could I possibly be a TOHO Elitist otherwise? Pain. Mind-numbing, soul sucking PAIN so I can be snobby and Zhitty to others. So I can judge them and call everybody out on EVERYTHING all the time, welcome or not.

I honestly like the very 1st Gamera movie. And Ultraman The Next had some of the best effects in the genre EVER!! Yup.

Toho elitist, yes, thats why I despise the trilogy being discussed. On second thought, it was probably wrong to call out completists, but the idea of owning every piece of crap is just so foreign. I'd rather wade through the "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" to find the gems.

Well, Mac, to be certain I don't actually own the trilogy. I just had to finally see the flicks and be done with it. That's what I meant.

Is this the sort of person who dislikes stuff like the original Gamera series on the grounds that it's crap compared to the best of Toho's genre films? I don't know why someone who considers themselves a fan wouldn't want to get a hold of everything that's out there. Weird.

I don't see how someone collecting (and enjoying) the Showa Gamera series is masochistic. They're no materpieces, but hell, I like them.

Legion I agree. But I really want to know something off topic...

Your avatar is a Blu-Ray G vs. Biollante. Have you actually watched it on Blu-Ray? If so, how is the quality compared to other versions?
