Just got my Blu Ray in the mail today...stunning!

So I just finished the Blu ray that Matt gave me for Christmas and OH MY LAWD. I didn't think I could love this film any more but I DO. Absolutely the best kaiju film produced since Gamera 3, though I imagine that may well change once I get to see God Warrior Attacks Tokyo. In the meantime, F*CK YEAH, GEHARHA.

Gehara recently popped up on YouTube, so at LAST I got to see this short film. I enjoyed it a lot. The plot was very brisk pace, but was surprisingly informative; both the dramatic scenes and the comedic scenes were very well handled; the production values looked very nice, and Gehara himself was a neat monster in design; and the Ifukube soundtrack was the icing on the cake.
...And that ending had me laughing out loud. This is definitely a monster movie that deserves recognition.
What are the odds of Gehara ever getting a R1 release? It would be great to see a company like Kraken Releasing pick this film up.

The Japanese Blu is Region A and has subs. It's one of my most prized possessions.
