I love Rodan, Frankenstein vs Baragon, War of the Gargantuas, Mothra and I'm not sure if its Toho or not but I seen a film called I think called ``Rashmon`` a long time ago and I believe its directed by Akira Kurosawa and that was very good.

Among all, I believe Rodan would be the top. It's just an amazing film over all. Close second would be The War of the Gargantuas. Then would come The Mysterians.

I have yet to see the other classics others have mentioned. One I truly wish to see is Battle In Outer Space.

Once again, RODAN followed by War of the Gargantuas with Frankenstein Conquers the World and Matango tied for 3rd and Varan rounding out the list. Atragon gets the honorable mention:D

Yeah, it makes sense. I mean I heard that the movie was originally going to be a American- Japanese production [Like Latitude Zero] for the American TV audience but was drop off due to problems. I don't really expect much when I'm watching monster movies in general, so I'll give it a shot once I get the Toho 3 Pack.

Having watched a few films over the past few months, I believe it's necessary to do a revised list. What the hell, why not, right?

Truthfully, I like them all. Some are better than others, but they all have their good points.

EDIT: Just watched Mothra again. The U.S. version, for two reasons. First, I grew up on it. I've seen this movie tons of times over the years. Secondly, the only thing that's really bad about the new Sony disc is that the subtitles for the Japanese version are ATROCIOUS. The same goes for the other two discs. I know that they basically copied the scripts from the American versions, but come on!

Anyway, let me get to the point. Honestly, I think that Mothra may be the best film that Ishiro Honda ever directed. Not only that, I think it's probably the best sci-fi/fantasy/monster movie that Toho ever made. Even better than the original Godzilla. Now, I know that's a very heavy-handed statement to make around here, and I owe an explanation. However, I'm just going to lay back for a minute, and see if there is anyone out there that may possibly agree with me, or atleast understand why I would think such a thing.

...(crickets chirping)....

Well, I wouldn't say its Ishiro Honda's best film or say that its better than the original Gojira but it is to me one of my favorite monster movie from Toho in second place. Third place goes to Rodan. Mothra is of course lighter in mood compare to Gojira so its much more likeable. Like its more colorful, has a catchy theme song, and so on and so forth.
