Reportedly 1500 screens nationwide, so its not a limited release.

I did remember seeing some a few days ago. If you look on youtube, they might already be there.

There's been a poster for it hanging in one of the more popular multiplexes in my city.

I saw a commercial for this tonight during Futurama on Adult Swim and I gottta say that it looked pretty cool. I know it's been said that it's not a very good movie, but I'm pretty sure I've seen worse so I'm looking forward to this one...

Honestly, this movie looks terrible (in the fun kind of way though). I'm seeing it on the principle that its a Korean movie about huge dragons with all american actors, and its getting a wide release in the US. I mean how often does that happen?

I'm kinda iffy about it but I'll watch it anyway. I mean that heck it should be fun (gulps at the thought).

The latest news is that Sony Pictures has acquired the US home video and television (including satellite and cable) rights to DRAGON WARS.

With the US release of DRAGON WARS: D-WAR only a week away, Younggu Art Entertainment has provided SciFi Japan with some interesting info on events leading up to opening day. Take a look at what’s happening this weekend, and check back for more news in the next few days.

I COMPLETELY forgot about this movie. It doesn't look that bad, for it being made in Korea. It seemed to have done very well in Korea. I'm interested to see how it does in America.

I can't tell if it's going to be playing near me. Is there a way to find out? HELP ME!! lol

DRAGON WARS is opening on nearly 2000 screens nationwide so odds are it will be playing in St Louis. There's no list of all the places it is showing, so just check your local listings next week. I'm sure the info will be in the newspaper or on local theater websites.

I caught the radio interview today and it was a lot of fun. The producer, actor Craig Robinson, and some of the production/promotion crew were on the air for about two hours chatting between songs about the movie and all kinds of topics. The host of the radio show is British, some of the guests were American, and others were from Korea so there were some amusing mixups due to all the different accents. At one point one of the Korean crew said that director Hyung Rae Shim was called the "big cheese", and the host thought he said "b!tches" so he was confused why the boss would have that nickname.

Wow, I gotta say they sure are promoting this, I think I've seen more commercials for Dragon Wars than any other movie. Looking forward to Friday!

Comingsoon.net has an exclusive clip up. I gotta say, even if the rest of the film isn't very good, with cool kaiju action like that it'll still definitely be worth a look. :D

It is very interesting to see how Korean filmstudios have developed and improved their visual effects technology. With such stunning films like ANTARCTIC JOURNAL, THE RESTLESS, THE HOST (ok, not entirely Korean SFX), D-WAR and so on, it is almost sure that South Korea will have the upper hand in Asia in terms of visual effects in the next time.

By the way, D-WAR isn't the most expensive movie/TV series from South Korea anymore. Tomorrow, a new TV series namend "The Legend of the First Kings Four Gods" will start airing, with a reported budget of 45 Mio. US dollars. They spent 10 Mio. für costumes, 20 Mio. for huge sets and almost 10 Mio. for visual effects work. Ok, it is a TV series, but it looks fantastic. See here a new preview:

Ok, I got a bit offtopic in that way, but I wanted to mention it.

Anyway, the new D-WAR clip is awesome and if the DVD will contain a nice DTS track, I am sure my neighbors will hate me.

LOL!!!! :lmfao:

But yeah, I am deff going to see this movie on Friday. Looking forward to some sweet Kaiju action. Even if the acting is(probably) horrible, it will make up for it in that I get to see Freakin-A Dragons run loose in a major U.S. City. XD.

Don't forget more itchy beam!

I think I'm gonna see Cronenberg's Eastern Promises and D-War at the same time. Now there's a weird double feature.
