I'm watching the movie now. With the exception of the constant "My
Trio: Quentin Tarantino" logo in the lower right corner I'm pretty
impressed by Trio's treatment of the film. They started off with the
old US theatrical trailer from Brenco, then Tarantino said a few
words about the movie. Nothing too indepth; Tarantino called Ishiro
Honda one of his favorite directors in the history of cinema and said
the reporter (Tatsuya Mihashi) reminded him of Mike Connors from
MANNIX.
The print of the movie looks pretty good... a little soft but the
colors are nice. It basically looks like a decent copy of an old
movie. According to the opening logos, THE HUMAN VAPOR is being
distributed by the Samuel Godwyn Company.

Glad you saw it! I was starting to think I was the only one who watched the movie... I'm glad I did, but I was hoping others who hadn't already seen it would get a chance to as well.
That's the first time I've ever heard Tarantino talk about Honda and Godzilla but I'm not surprised he's a fan. He just loves Japanese cult movies... he was even wearing a BATTLE ROYALE t-shirt on air today!
