What I love about Dogora is that is shows Toho could have made any kind of movie in the 60s with a monster in it. Although in this case it's different from movies like Gorath or Atragon which were already big, spectacle movies that threw in cameos for monsters. Dogora is a smaller movie with more emphasis on its monster, it drives the plot, although it still has only one standout sequence visibly with the bridge attack (which is great!).
Another thing I love is how it showcases the more oddball Toho character actors in the bank robbers. I also really like Yosuke Natsuki (from Ghidorah the same year) as the police inspector. I wish he'd been in more of these movies.
