I've heard people joke about that line, but I loved it since the first time i heard it. makes me think about happy times with family, and the warm feelings of being a father with a young child

^That's an underrated moment in the movie. Ford is a blank for a lot of the movie, but not in that scene. Maybe more scenes with his family would've helped? A flashback when he's unconscious after the Muto attack at the bridge?

I don't think they needed more of him with his family - less is more, and we get the necessary iceberg details - so much as for his storyline and characterization to be more focused within the existing structure.
