Good lord! That was amazing!!!

I noticed the piece by Matt Frank with the explanatory note of who this American Godzilla artist is. When I was monitoring Japanese twitter in desperate hope of Shin Godzilla news a few months ago I noticed how often Japanese fans were retweeting images from his comics. I'm happy to know he's got something of a following among the Japanese fans.

Really cool stuff! Most of the Millennium Series suits and props seem to be holding up well over time, although GFW Godzilla looks surprisingly worn. Maybe being made out of lighter, more flexible material didn't bode well for the suit's longevity. I like how they've posed them in dynamic scenes for that museum.

At the end of the Godzilla's Revenge location tour video, there's a brief shot of a couple of Matt Frank's pieces on display at the Kaiju Sakaba too.

Man I love the Godzilla animatronic. It's nice to see it be restored.

I know the Showa suits and props rotted away pretty quickly, and the newer stuff is made from similar materials, right? Can I assume Toho has put effort into restoring and caring for these props because they became aware of their value for exhibition?

The Heisei Gamera suits also appear to be in pretty good shape.
