Godzilla (1954)
Not much to say with this one being the best. Only minor problem was occasional slips with melodramatic acting at some points.
Godzilla Raids Again (1955)
the fact that everything (plot, human story, human characters, monster fights) is BORING. Also can't stand hearing Angurias's roar in Godzilla in the American version.
King Kong Vs. Godzilla (1962)
So after electricity, tanks, and planes couldn't stop Godzilla (yet as a plot device, Godzilla can be slightly deterred by electricity only in this film to give Kong an advantage), the military decides to use "DYNAMITE" of all things to destroy him??? DYNAMITE???? Seriously????
Mothra Vs. Godzilla (1964)
As great as the film is, I'll agree with Irish about Godzilla vs Adult Mothra, but adding on to it, the point where we get a ton of close up and "extremely fast paced" shots of Godzilla flailing at Mothra is just very disorienting in my eyes and kinda switches gears from the slow methodical and epic shots we got of Godzilla before and then going straight to this. Aside from that, I love this film.
Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster (1964)
Adding onto Godzilla's fire breath problem posed earlier, for as many times as he apparantly tried to blast Rodan, and for all the times Ghidorah blasts him with his gravity rays, how come Godzilla never once blasts King Ghidorah back (especially when some posters advertised him doing so).
Invasion of the Astro Monster (1965)
Didn't we just see Godzilla/Rodan along with Mothra overwhelm King Ghidorah in the last film?? Why would we wanna see the same fight again minus one monster even if the sci fi plot is decent???
Godzilla Vs. The Sea Monster (1966)
The Giant Condor. Enuff said. Get another "better" monster that'll pose a better challenge to Godzilla at least.
Son of Godzilla (1967)
The Godzilla suit.
Destroy All Monsters (1968)
For a film titled Destroy All Monsters, there was too much human time as opposed to monster time. Also lets see more of Varan, Baragon and Manda in the final fight at least.
Godzilla's Revenge (1969)
The whole film almost.
Godzilla Vs. The Smog Monster (1971)
What was up with those scary looking ppl watching the fight on Mt. Fuji???
Godzilla Vs. Gigan (1972)
Stock Footage excuse for money/time saving tactics. If you can't afford making the film or don't have the time to make it good, why make it???
Godzilla Vs. Megalon (1973)
See reasons above. And hell at least Zone Fighter was 10 x's what Jet Jaguar failed to be. Hell Jet Jaguar was created from a kid contest and the kid who won was even disgraced that his original drawing of "Red Aroan" was modified by Toho for the film and looked nothing like his original drawing.
Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla (1974)
What is up with all the "counter smacking" sound effects every time someone gets punched and that jittery jazz music that so doesn't fit the fight scene at the guys house??
Terror of Mechagodzilla (1875)
"DUNNNNN TLIIIIII TO ETHCAPE URTHLIIIIIIIIING, OR UUUUUULLLLL FORTTTTTTHHHHH UTHHHHHH TO KHHHHHHHIIIILLLLLLLL UUUUUUUUUUUU" (where did that German accent come from??)
Godzilla 1985
That red headed step child military official.
Godzilla Vs. Biollante (1989)
Pretty much what Irish said.
Godzilla Vs. King Ghidorah (1991)
Great film but seriously going back and forth with "let's erase godzilla from history" - oh no, king ghidorah's here, lets get godzilla back to kill him - oh no we screwed ourselves again, godzillas gonna kill us, lets get king ghidorah, mechanize him, and get rid of godzilla again. Pretty laughable but ok, at least it worked for a Godzilla film.
Godzilla & Mothra: The Battle for Earth (1992)
The fact that Battra was apparantly more dangerous in larvae form than in adult form due to losing its horn lightning. What was up with that??? Also horrendous acting.
Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla (1993)
The stupid romance subplot with Oki and whats her face. Boring.
Godzilla Vs. Spacegodzilla (1994)
3 words. BEAM WAR BATTLE.
Godzilla Vs. Destoroyah (1995)
The fact that that stupid nerd always has apocalyptic bad news or bad news in general to whats going on and always seems rather unaffected or calm/collected about it.
Godzilla 2000 (1999)
"I think it'll go through Godzilla like CRAP THROUGH A GOOSE." ( . . . . . LMAO . . . . um ok)
Godzilla X Megaguiras (2000)
The whole human story.
Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All Out Attack (2001)
The fact that TOHO wouldn't allow Kaneko to go with his original concept of Varan and Angurias instead of King Ghirdorah and Mothra. I guess TOHO will never give Varan his due recognition. Also the whole mysticism origin of Godzilla didn't fit in my eyes.
Godzilla X Mechagodzilla (2002)
The whole "lets put Godzilla's bones in MechaGodzilla" I'll admit is somewhat creative and yet totally far fetched for a film, which at the same time, is trying to be more realistic with MechaGodzilla having a power limit.
Godzilla X Mothra X Mechagodzilla: Tokyo SOS (2003)
A whole lot of "BEEN THERE, SEEN THAT."
Godzilla: Final Wars (2004)
As much as I really love this film, its def not without its downfalls and negatives. Biggest one is the same thing I said about Destroy All Monsters. For a film called, Godzilla: Final Wars and godzilla's retirement film, you'd think we'd get way more monster action and time given those circumstances.
"ooooo GODZILLA is "roasting" KING KONG.!!!!"
