Godzilla Island

Probably a topic hiding somewhere... Anyway..

I watched a story arc on this show yesterday, and I'm actually really impressed. While using Bandai Toys for the monsters is really cheesy, the thing that Godzilla Island really benefits from is good monster stories!

The story I watched yesterday was about the X-alien lady sending "Mushroom" Hedorah down to the island. The island and many of the kaiju are infected by Hedorah beam, where mushrooms begin to grow on the kaiju. They become sick, and Hedorah even gets Godzilla! The story gets even more creative when the only way to destroy Mushroom Hedorah is to shoot him with a beam that is 6000 degrees. They figure out the only way to do this is to summon Fire Rodan, who is guarded by King Caesar(why idk lol). Fire Rodan is summoned by the roars of our fallen monsters due to Hedorah, and a prayor from one of the main characters. Fire Rodan emerges and defeats Mushroom Hedorah, with the help of Godzilla who had enough strength in him to get up and shoot his beam too. All of the Kaiju heal after MH's death.

Like I said, using toys is pretty meh(cool for little kids though), but Godzilla Island had a real creative story team behind this. Can't wait to watch the next story arc!
