Thoughts on G-cells: The true threat from Godzilla?

As I'm sure you all know (Or I would hope so) Godzilla's cells mutate a lot even by monster standards. Here I will voice my thoughts, views, and theories regarding one of Godzilla's greatest blessing AND greatest curse.

Weapons: G-cells have been used to make weapons such as Anti Nuclear Energy Bacteria or A.N.E.B. for short. This Bio-weapon had the remarkable power to slow down Godzilla and even knock him out for a short time. It was enough to force him to stay in cold water where the effects would be hindered.

The corpse of the original 1954 Godzilla (Gojira) was even turned into a cyborg weapon called Kiryu. This new monster was pretty much equal in power but has proven to be much better fighter in a tooth and claw fight and has even managed to outsmart the current Godzilla several times. In short hes slightly more powerful then Godzilla and if it weren't for his downfalls (2 Hour limit, AZC taking up too much power, clunking out if he falls too hard, remembering hes 1954 G if he hears the current Godzilla's voice sometimes) he could be consider to be one of the strongest monsters in the GXMG/G:S.O.S. timeline. Still can kill many kaiju if used right.

Mutations: Let us not forget that other monsters and even animals exposed to G-cells have mutated into things much worse then what they already were. A simple Sea Louse had mutated into a 1 meter creature called Shockirus after drinking Godzilla's blood and managed to wipe out a small fishing boat of its crew.

Then you have Orga. A creature that is the result of aliens trying to absorb G-cells so they could change back to the form the had long lost, Millennian. But the G-cells became the dominant genes which caused the beast to turn into a deformed half Godzilla. With no other options left Orga resorted to try turning itself into a clone of Godzilla.

Megaguirus had feed off of Godzilla's blood causing it to mutate into a huge beast that could feed off of the energy of other animals and convert it into a Plasma Energy Ball that she fires.

Clones: The most dangerous thing about G-cells is the power to make monsters even worse then Godzilla himself. Biollante is a chimera and a nightmare. She was made from the fusion of Godzilla, human, and rose DNA. The downside to her is that she takes hits from a beam weapon like a wet paper bag and energy attacks seem to effect her at the genetic level, making her unstable. But she makes up for this by having the fastest regeneration of any monster. She had a hole blasted into her head but it had regenerated in mere seconds. Add on the fact she has no real vital organs to aim for besides the orange orb on her stomach which had been hit several times with little effect and you can see why very few kaiju would want to fight her.

SpaceGodzilla is by far the most dangerous clone of the King. Being able to make crystals that can summon a near endless amount of power as well as near human level intelligence, SpaceGodzilla would have killed Godzilla had his tower and shoulder crystals not been destroyed. Indeed it seems the only reason Godzilla can beat or at least end the fight in a draw despite his clones having such an unfair advantage is because they have an unwanted random mutation that give them a weakness for Godzilla to exploit.

Mutation of G: These mutations don't seem limited to his clones. Godzilla him self has shown that he can keep mutating....perhaps endless. The first Godzilla was only 50 meters tall however because it was made form modern nuclear weapons the Heisei Godzilla was 80 meters tall and had a new power, the nuclear pulse and later when exposed to modern nuclear weapons again he mutated to a stronger monster and grew to 100 meters and again gained new powers such as conducting energy and later an agumanted beam from taking in Fire Rodan.

I have a theory that when Fire Rodan gave Godzilla its energy that Godzilla had absorbed Fire Rodan's cells which has caused a mutation that lets Godzilla store and discharge more energy then he could before, hence when given enough power Godzilla can fire the Red Spiral Ray.

But just like his clones this too had its limit. Once Godzilla had absorb too much power from SpaceGodzilla, his crystals, and the uranium from one of the islands he stays on, this forced him into a planet killing form called Meltdown Godzilla or Burning Godzilla. Not even his regeneration and ability to absorb huge amounts of radiation was enough to stop the chain reaction.

Final Thoughts: In my honest opinion the most dangerous thing about Godzilla is his DNA or rather what hellish being can spawn form it. I think my friends have said it best. "His mere existence is a threat to the whole world." Even if you destroy Godzilla his corpse can be turned into a weapon. Even if he leaves no corpse behind any leftover DNA can be used to make new weapons, cause animals to mutate, cause other monsters to change into something much worse or even create clones that are either equal in power to Godzilla but with an unfair advantage (Biollante) or a monster much more powerful then him (SpaceGodzilla).

Godzilla spreads radiation where ever he goes and its safe to assume that his clones/siblings/children/cousins spread radiation ever where as well. Its even possible that his copies can make more copies as well (One theory about how SpaceGodzilla came into being is that Biollante's spores went into space).

My threat level:

Hesei

1. SpaceGodzilla: The most dangerous Godzilla, Nuff said.

2. Meltdown Godzilla: After absorbing the Fire Rodan's DNA and energy he actually is more powerful then SpaceGodzilla to the point where he is a living doomsday weapon just waiting to happen. The only reason he is not number one is because he has no control over his power where SpaceGodzilla on the other hand does.

3. Biollante: She regenerates too fast to kill. Maybe the Red Spiral Beam can slow her down.

4. Godzilla post Fire Rodan: Has a beam that is one of the strongest, right up there with SpaceGodzilla's Corona Beam.

5. Shockirus: I shudder to think how much damage a whole group could cause.

Millennium:

1. Kiryu: A cyborg of the first Godzilla, nuff said.

2. 1954 Godzilla A.K.A. Gojira: What would become Kiryu.

3. Megaguirus: Very fast and very cunning. If not for being weak to beams she could easily be a threat to the whole world.

4. Godzilla (GXM): A very smart kaiju and has proven to be a decen fighter for someone with no experience.

5. Orga and Godzilla (G2K): A tie because they seem to be evenly matched. The only real advantage Orga has is being slightly stronger but Godzilla has better regen.



In closing Godzilla and his clones should be looked at as both Nuclear weapons AND Bio-weapons.

Heisei Godzilla's nuclear pulse wasn't really a new power. Its based on something that Godzilla did in one of the Showa movies with Mechagodzilla in it.

First off, excellent post, Corpse. Enjoyed the read.

Secondly, I think a lot of that speaks to Godzilla as representation of nuclear weapons. After a group of American scientists unlocked the power of the atom, anyone could unlock the potential of radioactive materials for destruction. This culminated in the cold war and now we have the threat of nuclear terrorism. The bottom line is, once a secret is unlocked, it can't be resealed.

This is true of Godzilla, too. Once he's been created, he can never truly go away.
