That production company (forgot it's name) sure seems a little sure of itself, doesn't it? They keep making these plans of grandure...this time touting some remake of Yokai Monsters that will "rival Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter"...YEAH RIGHT!. :roll:

Why don't they just simmer down a bit and actually PRODUCE some of these movies instead of just yammering about them and wallowing in their own hype.

Did that just sound bitter? lol

Early days yet but the prospect of G4 is very appealing, given the quality of the trilogy. But I just donÂ´t understand the mindset of the fans that feel G4 should start off anew. Why? This was reasonable for Gamera and Godzilla heisei series, given the time between these and the Showa series, but frankly I find the Millenium Godzillas singularly irritating for that reason. Almost every movie uses G54 as the sole starting point and then goes off into a new timeline...
There is no reason at all that G4 could not continue from G3 and add something new and exciting to the genre. Starting again just seems quite lame actually.

Well I would like to see the older monsters like Barugon and Gurion.

Oh yeah, I loved Legion too, but I wouldn't want her back anytime soon. Back to the point, an old fav. would be great. It could really enrich the mythology of the Atlantians and that's what I would like to see: more on those guys. It could bust this thing wide open!

The new movie, besides including the ideas mentioned above, could start with some serious deep sea exploration for other artifacts (and possible treats) from the past, as this would be in humanities best interest after nearly being obliterated after the last Gyaos attack. We would get to see underwater ruins and all that, with the history of the lost race revealed through hierogliphs or something. Of course some shadey branch of government would want to use these findings for their own ends, and hence, we could maybe finally see Gamera turn on humanity at some point (reasons why being kept from the general populace of course). Maybe Baragon could be a fail-safe device against a Rampageing Gamera. Hmmmm... possibilites possibilites.
