if you could do a novelization of the Gamera trilogy

Spinning flame-jetted turtles, space birds being chopped up like bologna, kids in shorts screaming for help...the original Gamera series was a strange mix of wacky fun!! The 90's Gamera films set a standard that other kaiju films are measured against! Discuss Gamera films here!!

if you could do a novelization of the Gamera trilogy

if you had the chance to do a novelization of the Gamera trilogy what would you change to improve the plots of all three stories?

Get rid of the Emo nature and pseudo Hentai relationship between the antagonist female and Irys in GIII. Also I'd give Asagi Kusanagi a more consistent portrayal in II & III as her role seemed to diminish in each successive film.

Give GII more of an actual story, as opposed to just a mechanical plot.

Don't get me wrong, I love GII, but it's pretty thin compared to the other two entries.
Tokyo, a smoldering memorial to the unknown, an unknown which at this very moment still prevails and could at any time lash out with its terrible destruction anywhere else in the world.

G2 is one of the best written kaiju movies ever. It's mechanical and beautiful, like a Swiss watch.

Ambiguity is great, but nevertheless I'd be crazy interested in if Kaneko or Ito actually worked on a novel or supplemental work that dig into the copious world building that's obviously in the Gamera trilogy.

... hell, I don't read Japanese. I'm sure a wealth of such information exists in those 'making of' and 'art of' books published in Japan.

i would have Irys talk with Ayana on multiple occasions to whip up anger against Gamera and mistrust to everyone else around her.

Huh. I always felt that initially Ayana was influencing Irys as much as Irys was influencing Ayana.

well considering Irys is a gyos I thought to give it a more sinister vibe if that was possible considering how it eats.
