I suppose Gamera being licensed out to another studio or perhaps a co-production with Kadokawa and someone else would be our best bet for seeing Gamera again.

I've really enjoyed experiencing it, but after 7 years of it I'm reminded of why I became a fan of these movies in the first place. It's not the only reason, but the fact that these weren't American films, that they were made for an audience that was culturally very different from me, was part of the appeal. It made them different from the usual American effects blockbuster. I find the idea of a new Japanese kaiju movie much more exciting.
