I would bet more straightforward or even dark, a-la the Kaneko films, if only because Gamera the Brave bombed and it will probably be assumed that kids' kaiju movie = poor ticket sales.
...Never mind the fact that kaiju movies period in Japan right now = low ticket sales. :\ Which makes me wonder if this is anything more than an ad for an anniversary campaign, sans-movie. Unless Kadokawa is banking on the Legendary Godzilla creating a huge buzz and want for similar stuff.
I like how the typography is pretty much mimicking the new Godzilla logo, silver English font over red katakana and all.
