So, this was a fanfilm all along, no official production? A bit disappointed if that's the case, but it makes sense. Snowden did say he had no idea if it was official or not. Would also explain why it's simply called The Guardian with "Gamera" nowhere to be seen in the title, I guess.

From this it's supposed to be an independent film, not truly a fan film, because this is apparently been licensed. It seems interesting though, the issue is now because of Gamera'a 50th he may have to scrap it. I'd like this. and about the Atlantean descendant angle...maybe it's something in the DNA?

Not only does Franz's involvement confirm that it's a fan film, it also confirms that it most likely won't get finished... Seriously.

With this pretty much being confirmed as a fan-film I think it should be moved to a different section to avoid confusion with the actual Kadokawa approved reboot...
