I still find it very hard to believe that a copy of this is still not readily available for fans even after all these years. Incredible.

I have never heard anything bad... except MouthForWar dropping into any thread that mentions the director just to comment on how much he sucks... but after seeing Reigo (which i liked considerably more than Raiga) i am curious to see this.

No and no.
Monster X Strikes back is Minoru Kawasaki (who does have some good films)
Death Kappa was Tomo Haraguchi...
Raiga was better than Death Kappa, maybe on par with Monster X Strikes back. Reigo was a better film but some rough CGI effects

You should check out a film called 'Calamari Wrestler' before you write of Minoru Kawasaki altogether. or if you are looking for something a little more existential 'Executive Koala'
Shinpei Hayashiya (director of Gamera 4) is famous in Japan for being incredibly good at a traditional style of comedic monologue.. Reigo also has an epilogue sequence that is overlayed with a traditional Kabuki dance performed by a well known kabuki performer... very cool.
