HUF Goes Head to Head with the King of the Monsters in New “Godzilla vs. HUF Collection”
This summer, HUF goes head to head with the world’s mightiest King of the Monsters in the Godzilla vs. HUF Collection, a new range of apparel and accessories celebrating one of the most recognized symbols of Japanese pop culture worldwide.
Godzilla first appeared in the 1954 Japanese science-fiction film GODZILLA (ゴジラ, Gojira) directed by Ishirō Honda and produced by Toho studios in Tokyo. Godzilla’s immediate impact on post-World War 2 Japanese culture was instantly recognized as a powerful metaphor for nuclear destruction, inspiring numerous films, video games, comics, novels, and television shows for the past 65 years.
Working closely with Toho Studios — which has produced 32 Godzilla films — HUF has hand-selected the most memorable big-screen moments starring the “titan of terror” and his supporting kaiju characters for a capsule of cut-and-sew, fleece, long and short sleeve tees, socks, a bucket hat, stickers, and a skate deck.
Highlights of the collection include two resort-inspired button-up resort shirts featuring Godzilla and Mothra, a collectible Godzilla skate deck, and a limited-edition vinyl Godzilla figurine in conjunction with Japanese toy brand Medicom.
