ULTRAMAN — ULTRA HEROES EXPO 2019 Begins December 29th
Ultraman heads to Tokyo Dome City for the holidays! The ULTRA HEROES EXPO 2019: New Year Festival in Tokyo Dome City (ウルトラヒーローズＥＸＰＯ ２０１９ ニューイヤーフェスティバル ＩＮ 東京ドームシティ, Urutora Hīrōzu Ekisupo 2019 Nyūi Yā Fesutibaru in Tōkyō Dōmushiti) will be held from December 29th (Sat), 2018 ~ January 6th (Sun), 2019 at Tokyo Dome City Prism Hall.
Last year, the Expo attracted more than 64,000 visitors. Running for 9 days, this year’s event will feature an expanded lineup and improved layout to offer attendees a more enjoyable and comfortable experience. The highlight of the Expo will be the “Ultraman Battle Stage” live shows starring the cast of latest Ultraman series, ULTRAMAN R/B (RUEBE) [ウルトラマンＲ／Ｂ(ルーブ), Urutoraman R/B (Ruubu), 2018] — Yuya Hirata as Katsumi Minato/Ultraman Rosso, Ryosuke Koike as Isami Minato/Ultraman Blu, and Arisa Sonohara as their sister Asahi Minato.
There is also “Ultra Shot”, a space for fans to have their photo taken with an Ultra Hero. Several different Ultramen will be on hand for photos each day of the Expo.
The “Ultraman Department Store” will offer a variety of Ultraman goods for purchase, including Expo exclusive and limited edition items.
Ultraman Battle Stage
Ultraman Rosso, Ultraman Blu, and other heroes take the stage for live performances held 5 times each day. The theater holds 930 seats, with 800 reserved and 130 standard available for each show.*

About Tsuburaya Productions
Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. has created dozens of heroes and other characters, including Ultraman, who have been loved from generation to generation. The base for the company was Tsuburaya Visual Effects Research, which was launched by the Japanese “Father of Special Effects” Eiji Tsuburaya. After showing his skill and making a name for himself working on many monster movies and special effects laden fantasy science films, in 1963 Tsuburaya incorporated Tsuburaya Visual Effects Research and established Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. in order to advance further research and development of special effects technologies and release visual works that could be enjoyed by a wider audience. The company has continued to maintain Eiji Tsuburaya’s policies even after his death.
2013 marked the 50th anniversary of the company’s founding, and it continues its work to this day. Currently, the company carries out activities including production of works for television, original video works, and films for theatrical release; licensing of owned characters’ content; development of various products; event planning and live staged events that bring out the maximum appeal of its owned characters, and development of facilities that handle related items.
