Toho Co., Ltd. has provided information and high-res photos from MILLION DOLLAR MAN (億男, Okuotoko), a drama based on the novel by Kawamura Genki, producer of YOUR NAME (君の名は。, Kimi no Na wa., 2016) and FIREWORKS (打ち上げ花火、下から見るか？横から見るか？, Uchiage Hanabi, Shita Kara Miru ka? Yoko Kara Miru ka?, 2017). The film reunites directer Keishi Otomo and star Takeru Satoh for the first time since the RUROUNI KENSHIN (るろうに剣心, 2012-14) series.
Kazuo (Takeru Sato) works nonstop each day to pay off his missing brother’s debts. Abandoned also by his wife and child, Kazuo unbelievably obtains 300 million yen through the lottery. For the time being he pays a visit to his entrepreneur friend Tsukumo (Issey Takahashi), but after a night of drinking he wakes to find Tsukumo and the 300 million yen are gone.
