Kadokawa Pictures has provided information and photos for their new movie, When I get home, my wife always pretends to be dead. (家に帰ると妻が必ず死んだふりをしています。, Ie ni kaeru to tsuma ga kanarazu shinda furi o shiteimasu.). The film is a romantic comedy that was inspired by a 2010 question on the Yahoo! Answers online community. A reply posted by user “K.Kajunsky” received 4.1 million views and more than 1700 responses, inspired an original song performed with the Vocaloid digital female singer Hatsune Miku, and was turned into a hit manga.
In his third year of marriage, Jun (Ken Yasuda) works at an office and lives with his wife Chie (Nana Eikura). One day, Jun comes home from work to find Chie collapsed and bleeding in the entryway. He rushes to her aid, but it turns out that Chie was just pretending to be dead. After that, Chie pretends to be dead on a daily basis.
