CHILDREN WHO CHASE LOST VOICES on Australian Blu-ray and DVD
On March 20th, 2013, the acclaimed anime feature film, CHILDREN WHO CHASE LOST VOICES (星を追う子ども, Hoshi o Ou Kodomo, 2011), will be released in DVD and Blu-ray editions by the Australian label, Madman Entertainment. The latest film from acclaimed director Makoto Shinkai (VOICES OF A DISTANT STAR, THE PLACE PROMISED IN OUR EARLY DAYS, FIVE CENTIMETRES PER SECOND), CHILDREN WHO CHASE LOST VOICES is beautifully animated by Comix Wave, world renowned for their stunning stories and breathtaking visuals.
When she hears a strange song from a crystal radio, Asuna tunes into more than just a magical stream of music. Soon, she is transported to a mysterious world where mythical beasts roam and brave warriors fight for their lives. Agartha is a land of breathtaking beauty and unimaginable danger — a place where, it is believed, even the dead can be brought back to life. But at what cost?
CHILDREN WHO CHASE LOST VOICES won the award for Best Art Director at Tokyo Anime Fair 2012, and was nominated for the Golden Raven at Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival 2011 and Best Animated Feature Film at Asia Pacific Screen Awards 2011. It was an Official Selection of BFI Film Festival in London.
